In spring 2016, I took Oboe Methods at the Eastman School of Music with Hugo Souza. There were only three of us that semester, so at the conclusion of the quarter, we arranged oboe trios for the three of to perform!
Coventry Carol is an English carol from the 1500s. It is a lullaby sung by the mothers of the children doomed to be massacred by King Herod in his quest to kill the infant Jesus. Musically, it has a very poignant Picardy third at the end!
