Program Notes:

The year before I was hired at La Porte High School, they built a new performing arts center. During my employment there, I have been privileged to get to perform and conduct in this excellent space. I've been spending a lot of time there recently in preparation for my performance of Stockhausen's "Harlekin", and during breaks I began experimenting with the variety of sounds I could get out of different surfaces. Inspired in title (but not content) by John Cage, this resulted in PAC Music!

The piece is dedicated to Tim Hanson, who was hired as PAC director in January 2022 and has done an absolutely incredible job running the facility!
