Program Notes:

I was searching for a final piece for my recital All By My Onesie (January 2024), which featured me playing some solo clarinet works and some solo piano works. I knew of P.D.Q. Bach's piece Sonata Abassoonata for bassoon and piano (1 player), but wasn't aware of any such works for clarinet. Therefore, I decided to write my own! Each movement explores different ways for the two instruments to interact.
