Pata-Pat-a-Pan, Op. 153, No. 1 (2023)

Program Notes:

I founded the La Porte High School clarinet choir in fall 2021. For the past two years, we've performed a movement from Daniel Freeman's arrangement of the Leroy Anderson Suite of Carols. This year, I wanted to write something specifically for the group!

This is a setting of the traditional French carol Patapan (or Pat-a-pan). Each instrument in the choir gets a chance to shine!
